I’ve been wanting to enhance my TV viewing experience without splurging on an overpriced giant LCD/OLED TV. So I decided to give a projector a try. There are some blank white walls around my house that are perfect for projection, so I thought, why not?
The ETOE projector really surprised me. My previous experience with projectors was at the office, back before working from home became common, and I remember how clunky and cumbersome they were to set up and use. But setting up this one was a piece of cake!
I like its auto-focus and auto-keystone correction features. But the best part is that the manual controls for focus and keystone are also very simple. I’m extremely picky about displays—no wonkiness, not even a tiny bit. So even though the auto-focus and auto-keystone do their job, I still made a few adjustments with the manual controls… just to get a pixel-perfect, sharply focused rectangular image, and it’s really easy and intuitive to adjust.
It already has several built-in apps (such as Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, etc.).
The audio is decent; it has built-in speakers, but it also supports Bluetooth connections if you want to hook up a Bluetooth speaker.
The remote control itself is quite simple and easy to use… its look and feel are similar to a Roku remote, but this one is a bit longer… which is actually a plus because it makes it easier to hold.
In summary: All in all, it’s a pretty solid projector with built-in apps, easy setup, an intuitive user interface, and support for wireless or wired connections from other devices.

When I first bought this item, I had no idea it would grow to mean so much. Back then, I was just chasing a familiar comfort from my life in China: those cozy weekend movie nights at home that used to feel like second nature. But now, nearly a year later—after multiple moves, a two-month stint in Canada, and the chaos of hunting for a place in Paris—I’m endlessly grateful I held onto it. Even when my luggage tipped the scales and I had to part with so much, I clung to this one thing. It became my anchor, a way to carve out a little “home” wherever I landed—whether that was a cramped, far-from-perfect dorm in Canada or a city where I’m still finding my rhythm.
Friday or Saturday evenings, I’ll pour a glass of wine, throw together a small cheese plate with nuts and chips (or let’s be real, sometimes just splurge on my go-to Uber Eats order), hook this device up to my iPhone hotspot, and pick a feel-good movie. In an instant, the noise and uncertainty of everything else melt away. I feel safe, at ease, and for a few hours, life feels steady—like it’s all going to work out.
In times of upheaval and flux, this tiny device has been my constant, a source of calm when everything else felt unmoored. For that, I can’t thank it enough.

I’ve tested 5 projectors, ranging in price from €70 to €250, and I have to say this one is truly the best of the lot.
The inclusion of Android TV already makes a huge difference compared to other models. The remote control is intuitive and user-friendly, the image correction is instant and comprehensive, and the overall quality is excellent. On top of that, it’s quiet, unlike all the other projectors I’ve tried so far—a detail that really makes a difference during viewing.
In short, it’s a product that’s a pleasure to look at and truly worthwhile. I’m extremely satisfied: I’ve finally found what I was looking for!

I got the ETOE Starfish projector because it just looked different from all the other standard projectors. The design really stands out—it’s sturdy, modern, and has a built-in night light that my kids love. You can tap the top to change the brightness and colour, which is actually really handy for bedtime wind-down.
The picture quality is brilliant – sharp, bright colours, and it adjusts easily with a nice wide rotation range. The built-in apps like Netflix and YouTube work straight away, no extra devices needed. The auto-focus is pretty quick too, which makes setup easy.
It’s a bit fiddly setting it up with the right angle for the ceiling projection but that’s not different with others I’ve used in the past.
The sound is decent and it’s super easy to connect to our Bluetooth speaker.
Given the number of features it offers, it’s defintely great value and feels high-end.

The device arrived quickly. Setup was incredibly simple I had it up and running in just a few minutes. It was effortless to cast images and videos form my mobile phone.
What really impressed me was the clarity of the images and the accuracy of color representation. For the price, the quality is fantastic! It doesn’t require installation or a tripod, and I can adjust it to various angles freely. I love lying in bed to watch movies, and it can project directly on to the ceiling, which is what I like the most. Overall, I’m really happy with my purchase and would definitely recommend this device to others. It’s a great option if you’re looking for an easy to use, high quality casting solution.

I really want to give this five stars—overall, it’s perfect, my best projector yet! The picture quality is fantastic, the sound is decent, and I can place it just about anywhere, adjusting the display to fit (crucial in my tiny living room, where there’s no space behind the couch).
But some issues sour the experience:
1. The keystone feature randomly misaligns—mid-movie, my perfectly square image skews for no reason!
2. Keystone settings keep resetting. I have to redo them *every time* I power up, which is a hassle. Since I never move the projector, this should be a one-and-done setup. Couldn’t they save to my Google account?
3. Instructions: I lost the booklet, and finding online ones is impossible. I found Chinese/Japanese versions, but they won’t auto-translate. Feels like paddling without oars. (Don’t lose yours!)
4. No online resources. A few tutorial videos would make setup smoother. Did I miss them? I searched everywhere.
5. The remote is a dealbreaker. It barely works, registering presses randomly. I was trying to convince my parents to buy one when it failed—now they won’t. And replacing it seems impossible without returning the whole unit? How do I get a new one?!
Even with these, I’d still give it four stars. But over time, these issues will get really annoying. Maybe the instructions hold fixes for keystone or the remote? Could it be Bluetooth interference? I’m not sure.

The image sharpness can be adjusted very precisely and uniformly, and the menu operation is simple. The included remote control is extremely practical. The sound from the integrated speakers is definitely acceptable. We have used the projector both with the Switch for gaming, which worked flawlessly, and with the Fire TV Stick for streaming movies. The smooth connection with various devices such as the Fire Stick, smartphone, or PS5 makes everything more comfortable and versatile.

The sound and image quality of the projector are appropriate for its size. It shouldn’t be expected that the bass is as strong as with a woofer, but that’s understandable. The sound is clear and not over-driven. The projector offers various connection options such as USB, HDMI, etc., so that different contents can be played via a USB stick or devices like laptops and consoles can be connected. The WiFi connectivity enables smooth mirroring with smartphones. Its strengths clearly lie in the connection options and the WiFi/bluetooth features, which many projectors promise but often fail to deliver. Here, you won’t be disappointed.

I bought this mini projector to protect my child’s eyes. Although it is small, it is packed with features. It connects directly to your device via Wi-Fi, eliminating the need for messy cables and keeping your home more organized. The projector’s projection is also good, keeping children away from close contact with phones and iPads. Additionally, it can be rotated 140 degrees and the angle can be adjusted. Therefore, I don’t need to install it. I just need to place it in the right spot when using it.

Die Navigation durch die verschiedenen Optionen ist logisch aufgebaut und die Einstellungen sind leicht verständlich erklärt. Die Lautstärke des Lüfters ist relativ leise, was für mich nicht störend ist. Das Betriebssystem, basierend auf Android TV, macht die Bedienung spielend einfach. Die Benutzeroberfläche ist intuitiv und anpassbar, und der Zugriff auf den Google Play Store eröffnet eine Vielzahl von Anwendungen und Spielen.
Stärken –
Die Sound- und Bildqualität des Beamers sind angemessen für seine Größe. Es sollte nicht erwartet werden, dass der Bass so stark ist wie bei einem Woofer, aber das ist verständlich. Der Klang ist klar und nicht übersteuert. Der Beamer bietet verschiedene Anschlussmöglichkeiten wie USB, HDMI usw., sodass verschiedene Inhalte über einen USB-Stick abgespielt oder Laptop, Konsole usw. angeschlossen werden können. Die WLAN-Konnektivität ermöglicht eine reibungslose Spiegelung mit dem Smartphone. Il se connecte directement à votre appareil via le Wi-Fi, éliminant le besoin de fils encombrants et rendant votre maison plus ordonnée. La projection du projecteur est également bonne, éloignant les enfants du contact rapproché avec les téléphones et les iPads. De plus, il peut être tourné à 140 degrés et l’angle peut être ajusté. After all, it does its job.
I have sometimes woken up in the middle of the night with the show going on above my head. I fell asleep and the projector continued to work. Instead, the projector should turn itself off if the remote control is not touched within a preset time (this is because the viewer has fallen asleep). But unfortunately this feature is missing.

The picture is beautiful and clear from 20 inches to 80 inches (I haven’t had the chance to try bigger) the interface is easy to use and input/connectivity options met all of my desires, with out breaking the bank.

While focusing the centre, corners may be blurred. Unable to turn it on with remote, need to press the power button on projector. In general for this price I recommend.
